Dr. Greg Ploeger is from Denison, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University for three years before getting accepted into Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Greg graduated from Palmer with his Bachelors of Science Degree and Doctorate of Chiropractic in October 2011. He then took a position as an associate chiropractor at Lee Nelson Chiropractic in Davenport. Dr. Greg is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, coaching his children's athletic teams and spending time on the lake with his family. Dr. Greg is an avid Iowa State Cyclones fan and spends many Saturday's at Jack Trice Stadium! Dr. Greg and his wife Amanda bought Carrel Family Chiropractic Clinic from Dr. Denise Carrel in December 2013. Amanda is originally from Davenport, Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Healthcare Administration. Amanda is an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, so the Ploeger household is definitely a house divided! Amanda is currently the Clinic Director for Stone Ridge Medical Group in East Moline, Illinois. As a Clinic Director, Amanda oversees all the office scheduling for Doctors, Nurses, and Staff as well as daily insurance and billing claims, patient concerns and many other things. Currently Dr. Greg and his family reside in Huxley, where they built a new home in 2018. Dr. Greg and Amanda have three children: Brady (9), Avery (7) and Madden (4). All three children keep Dr. Greg and Amanda busy on a daily basis and everyday in their household is a new adventure. They are enjoying their time in a smaller community, and are looking forward to growing their family in the Ballard Community. Go Bombers!
Heather joined the clinic in October 2023, she's been a great addition to the team.
Heather is from Boone, Iowa and lived in Ames for 8 years before moving to Huxley in 2013. Heather and her husband, Mark have four children: Kade (21), Kole (18), Kason (9) and Kora (8). Heather loves spending time with her family cruising the lake on their pontoon as well as sitting on the beach. She also loves relaxing in their pool during the summer months, going to music concerts and watching football games with family and friends. Whether it's running her kids to dance, soccer practice or football practice she enjoys the perks of the Ballard Community and all the amazing people who live here.
